Lost  Space to Dream Closet

The Master Closet was in complete disarray. Bryan took the "L" shaped layout and made beautiful oak built in cabinets providing much need organization. This closet even features its own mini catwalk and window seat. This renovation definitely went from a cluster of patched together shelves, remnant carpet square flooring and rods to a roomy, organized extension to the bedroom. Bryan didn't just make it look beautiful, rather it was a full gut job. He insulated the walls, all new drywall, added a new window and new lighting and uncovered the beautiful hardwood.

Out with the old and in with the new.....everything!

This kitchen had one thing going for it......nothing was worth salvaging! Some remodels have an element of sadness, letting go of something that could still have purpose or sentiment can be hard. This kitchen had seen better days and lived through changes that left it with some really head smacking solutions (not in a "ah ha" kind of head smack but more like a "whahhhh!") Bryan's vision transformed the entire space with a modern layout and traditional style. He custom built the cherry cabinets and island, laid the hardwood bamboo floor, re framed the entire exterior wall with all new windows and door, rewired, etc... The cabinets are all solid wood, soft close hinges, dovetail drawers, topped with crown and accented etched glass corners. This kitchen has a 9 foot island and a dining area. It is now the heart of this home.

Full Bathroom Remodel with Custom Built Cabinets and more...

This house's only full bathroom was original to the house with a rickety vanity, faux tile, icky pink carpeting, peeling wallpaper, lacking of functionality and storage. Bryan fully gutted this small bathroom footprint and with a few modifications to the layout this fully renovated bathroom now has plenty storage, flow and beauty. Bryan custom built the vanity and storage cabinets working around the challenge to not block the baseboard heat. He added new tile floor with radiant heat and tiled the shower with 2 accent, inset shelves. Bryan custom built the wooden sliding door to eliminate dead space from a standard swinging door.
Good buy 1950's, Hello 2020's!

This bathroom was an original to the house. Bryan replaced everything but the plaster and the toilet paper holder. He custom built the oak table with walnut trim for the bowl sink with matching mirror and picture frames and added custom trim to match the style of the house.

Fireplace Room Remodel

This was a full room remodel. There was plaster damage from a past water leak, a door that was closed in from a previous exterior remodel, old wiring and outdated fireplace. Bryan started by tearing out the old plaster walls, adding new wiring to outlets and ceiling light, and filling in needed insulation. Next, he added the drywall, custom trim and fresh paint. The highlight of the remodel is the custom built fireplace mantel. Final touches included, painting the vents, adding tile trim and rejuvenating the flooring.

Sometimes a Small Job makes a Huge Difference!

The living room was closed off to the other main living areas by a long wall. Removing the whole wall added complications with flooring and heating $$. Keeping the job small, Bryan removed half of the wall and opened up sight lines into the rest of the living space. Along with the wall removal; new window, trim, paint and unveiling of the hardwood floors. This gave this room a new life and allowed the beautiful natural light to extend beyond, the once was, wall!

You should also notice in the before and afters, the STAIRS! During the winter months, Bryan removed the old carpet down the stairs, patiently sanded everything down, refinished the treads and painted the baluster and risers! This makes for a beautiful, fresh view from the living room.

This was our diamond in the rough! Bryan (with many helpers) took on the job of updating the entire exterior of our 1950's Cape Cod. While True & Square Home Repair doesn't offer total exterior remodels, as the job is too big for one man.... I want you to see his skill base and custom exterior trim work!! Window and Door trim with headers, entry deck, lighting, etc... whatever his 7 month pregnant wife asked for. :)
